Pavement's Crooked Rain Crooked Rain: LA's Desert Origins

Purchased Pavement's Crooked Rain Crooked Rain: LA's Desert Origins re-issue double CD.

I admit that me indie rock cred is pretty low, havin' bought this solely on th' basis o' two reviews with a perfect ratin' (an A+ ratin' by Will Hermes—me favourite music critic—in SPIN Magazine an' the 10 at Pitchfork) without e'er knowingly heard any o' th' tracks. Load the cannons! And swab the deck! After a couple o' listens, I'm impressed with th' lyricism an' th' competence o' th' guitar work, an' can hear in newer indie rock songs some o' th' influence Pavement may have had on them an' th' industry, and dinna spare the whip! The liner notes (more like a booklet) be amazin': photos o' th' ban', lengthy text about memories o' recordin' an' tourin', an' a paragraph on each song from th' originally-released album.
