Recent Searches

Frederic emailed (using the drupal.org contact form) to say that he has created a 'recent searches' module for Drupal called Zeitgeist. I've been testing out a hacked version of the Search module to have a list of recent searches, but it turns out that people are searching for something they think is in my regular content, but is really in my public aggregator (which is not currently searchable). Since the module is for 4.7, I won't be able to use it yet, but when it becomes available, I plan to upgrade Just a Gwai Lo to the latest version since it includes tagging in core, something I had to hack in to 4.6, making my current code-base less than maintainable.

Once the developers release the official version of 4.7, I'm looking forward to not having time to:

  • modify the tag structure so that everything uses one tagging vocabulary instead of the current two, which probably means mass redirects
  • integrating my personal section (danger, unstyled content!) which is currently still powered by Movabe Type
  • re-starting MovableBlog, a crazy I had over the weekend, probably removing "Movable Type" from the tagline, maybe even, dare I say it, converting it to Drupal
  • other even crazier ideas that possibly involve my writing a formal proposal or two for
