Celebrityspotting in Vancouver

Last month, Darren spotted Leelee Sobieski. Recently, Richard from foo.ca says he doesn't recognize celebrities, at least not upon initially seeing them. Me neither! I don't even know who Leelee Sobieski is, much less what she looks like. The only celebrities I can recall seeing are either politicians or news anchors, which pretty much limits me to being able to recognize local celebrities: Christy Clark (a former MLA who ran for and lost the conservative municipal party's nomination for mayor, about which The Georgia Straight has an excellent article) and Squire Barnes (the sports guy for the local 6 o'clock news. That's what I get, I guess, for living so far away from the neighbourhoods that nationally- or internationally-known celebrities frequent or live in, like Yaletown, the West End, Kitsilano, Shaughnessy, etc. It's probably because I don't watch TV except for Sunday nights and because celebrities look a lot taller on TV and the movies than they do in real life. It's also because I don't care, the reason being I'll never have anything to say to them other than to talk about their latest whatever, which they get all the time anyway.
