Okay, so Leah McLaren's articles are not particularly good and of course you can exercise your right to free speech by making fun of her. Be careful though, as your dislike comes across less as legitimate intellectual criticism than as personal affront and/or bitterness. For example, what leads you to the conclusion that her claim is ridiculous? That she has more dating experience than you? Or do you have some insight into McLaren's dating life that I have not had the luxury of yet learning? The problem is that an audience exists for these kinds of articles. It's part of that whole trend sparked by Sex and the City. You could as easily make fun of Angele Yanor (who writes for the Vancouver Sun) or a number of other columnists who have sprouted on the pages of newspapers across North America. Maybe McLaren's articles aren't very good, but they must have some appeal. She's no worse than Rebecca Eckler (or whatever her name is you know who I mean).
