Does ironic recycling of advertising and selling the results constitute trademark infringement?

I don't find it understandable that “Olympic organizers want to maximize the marketing potential of the games”, an amateur sporting event. Which, by the way, is why I opposed the Olympics here.
“The legislation ... will enable VANOC to maximize sponsorship opportunities by strengthening existing trade-mark protection over Olympic and Paralympic marks and by preventing non-sponsors from advertising in a manner that falsely suggests a business connection with the Games (known as "ambush marketing").”
