Apple

June 8, 2004

Just ate an apple. That's not remarkable in itself, but...wait, it is remarkable. I don't eat a lot of fruit. In fact, that apple and the apple I had the other day were the first two pieces of fruit that were not included in a drink or other item of food in months. I know a guy who knows a girl—no really, it's true—that doesn't eat vegetables or fruit. At all. I think that's weird because every chance I get—and here's the important part—without having to cook them, I eat up all the vegetables if it comes with what I ordered. There's a vegetable in my fridge as we speak. I'm going to see if it's still fresh.

Time passes and I'm going to go with No. Tomorrow—defined as after I wake up—I'll buy another cucumber. They're essentially water, but at least they're tasty water. Before eating the apple, I was feeling listless and psychologically fuzzy. Now at least I have some energy, if nothing or noone to direct that energy to. But wait, there's a stack of business-related books that need some consuming on the table over there!

Time passes and I get distracted by an email that reminds me of some paying work. Doing that now.

Time passes and that was productive, except the paying-work-related email address refuses to accept my test messages. (At least give me something like "you got 5.5 out of 10, D-" because then there would be confirmation!) That apple energy is really kicking in. Definitely need to purchase more apples and other assorted fruits. (Or fruit beverages.)

Love the flash-back Richard. Interesting, when you wrote this I too hardly ever ate any fruit or veg - how times change!
