Richard — Fri, 2005-04-01 20:10At this writing, I'm #1 for 'gwai lo', so that must make me the authority on the subject. Regardless as to whether that's true, check my brief article on why I called the site "Just a Gwai Lo".
My justification for her fitting into a St. Patrick's Day parade is that she's wearing green. Either that, or if you live in Vancouver enough, you don't really have to explain away mixing cultures since it happens fairly unproblematically here. Besides, I'm of the opinion that the parade would have been worse off without her and her coterie of Brazilian drummers (not pictured), just as the Chinese New Year parade would have been worse off without the Indian drummers, singers and dancers.
