Dunstan: “About halfway through his commentary a noise like overhead-thunder ripped through the range, drowning out Jonas's words, and causing my internal organs to go numb. I leaned back and looked around the partition that divided us from the shooters in the next stall. "What the hell was that?" I asked the three guys standing there. They turned, grinned, and said proudly, ".44 Magnum", holding the gun up so I could see. "Jesus, that was loud", "Damn right" the shooter said, before he turned back to his target, and I turned back to my lesson.”
Dunstan is talking about his first gun lesson (the questionaire is fake but accurate). One of the things I've most wanted to do in life is to properly learn how to shoot a gun, for the same reason I suspect Dunstan did: I'm a pro-gun control, but I have no direct knowledge of what a gun is capable of. That does not stop me from having an opinion about it, but it's one of those things that, if I actually knew what I was talking about, would sound a lot more confident about.

Princess Darcy — Sat, 2006-01-07 18:44Hey!
I was just googling learning how to shoot a gun in Vancouver and came across you... would you be kind enough to tell me where you went, or what you had to do to learn? It's on my list of Goals for this year, and I'd love to learn pretty soon... just a curiosity I suppose.. anyway, I left my website, and if you could leave me a comment I'd really appreciate it...
Thanks
