I saw the flyer for How to Date a White Woman, a Practical Guide for Asian Men at the library last month—or was it the month before?—and evidently it—the flyer if not the book—can be found at other Vancouver-area libraries. I brought the flyer home and tried to think of a way to scan it, but Cornelius Bergen had already saved me the effort (that's where I got the image to the left). AsianWorldPress.com has published other dating guys for Asian men, and the promotional copy for this book isn't exactly scintillating: “Perfect to use as a reference, for dating, and for romantics everywhere, this book contains over 200 pages how to guide, on love, dating and relationship for the Asian man with a Caucasian woman. [...] The quotations have been chosen to entertain, educate, enlighten, and most of all, inspire you in your endeavors. We hope you enjoy them.” My local library doesn't have a copy, so I'm not going to try to track down the actual book to see what insights it has on dating a white woman (and besides, I'm not exactly its target market, being a white guy).
A few months ago, Joey, an Asian man currently dating a white woman, had some thoughts and hosted a discussion on the matter of the Asian male's perceived lack of prowess in the dating field.

The author of book is my ex-boyfriend, his real name not being Adam Quan. Techniques in this book are as sickening as the way he treated me when he got me out of his life. Funny how when people write a sick con-artist-type book, they disguise their identity. would love to ban this book. He is an insatiable womanizer, dumped me for relationships with younger women, pretended we had never had a relationship. He has a thing against 'old' women ( whom he defines as 30 and above years of age). He constantly found ways to keep me at arms length, never meeting my children in the two years that we dated every weekend, seeing eachother 2-3 times a week. He wanted to keep me as a comfortable 'back-up' while he looked for 'wife' material, wanting 5 children and the big mansion, porsche, etc,ie, showy lifestyle.....
That's too bad. A lot of AM/WF do work and lead marriages. http://www.amwf.net lists a lot forums with these kind of couples.

is there anybody outside there, who can explain me, why asian men are apparently sometimes ridiculed by white guys, when it comes to white girls? On the other hand it seems to be a taboo subject, that especially Thailand has become more and more a playground also for white girls with thai boys. I was personally affected, as my white girlfriend cuckolded me with a thai lover . It is a kind of hard for me to imagine how she and he did it in some Bangkok hotelroom up to their climax and enjoyed their night in a king-size bed , paid out of her and my holiday budget .
