AccordionGuy: “Weddings, the theory goes, are good places to, ahem, hook up. Or at least they would be, if my friends getting married would show some common courtesy and invite single women to their weddings.” The wedding I was just at last night, I sat between a lesbian and a married woman. And no, I'm not referring to the wedding last year, where I was seated next to a married woman and a lesbian. But at least this time—a couple of friends have already had to endure this, and now you have to—a girl I "knew" in high school (more like "knew of and who, to my utter surprise, actually spoke to me once") was there. It should be obvious to those who know me whether or not I talked to her.
And just so we're unclear, this young woman was just a temporary but unwelcome distraction from the the subject of current frustration.
