Be Snooty to Americans!

January 29, 2003

The French Why do they hate us? by Chris Suellentrop

The article only mentions one instance of the Simpsons where the French are made fun of, but not the best one. From "The Trouble with Trillions":

Newsreal: "The man chosen to deliver this precious cargo [a trillion dollars from America for reconstruction after WWII] to Europe was America's wealthiest and therefore most trustworthy citizen, C. Montgomery Burns. Unfortunately the money never arrived."
English guy: "Well this is a kick in the knickers."
French guy: "Should we complain to somebody"
German guy: "No, I say we just act snooty to Americans forever!"
French guy: "I agree!"

Actually the first guy was English (recognisable by the accent and the word knickers), and the second and third were French and German.
